PGWP extension - LMO required or NAFTA?

(Sorry, completely missed your bit about being eligible for a NAFTA work permit.) You should definitely go for it, check the box for "change you conditions" on the form, and then if the applicaiton is still in process when your current permit expires, you will ikely be considered on "implied...

PGWP extension - LMO required or NAFTA?

Canuck, you're in a tricky situation. PGWP's cannot be extended. If your job is eligible for a regular (closed) work permit, however, you could apply to change your status. For this, you would need to get an LMO, though.

    Good thing or bad thing?

My husband (from the UK) and I submitted our inland forms in September 2010. The agent called me at work because my...

    application times for inlanders

It uaully takes them about two months to open the package, I've found. This is the point at which there will be a record of your applicaiton; but they won't tell you when they do. You can confirm whether they've opened the package by calling the CIC, though. The first letter you'll get is after...

    HELP!

Just when we thought we had things figured out and under control.... My husband and I submitted our sponsorship/PR application (along with an OWP aplication) in Sept 2010. At the time he was on a valid Post Graduate Work Permit (an open work permit), which expired in November; he has been on...

    Changing employment on implied status?

Here's the situation: We sent in a PR applicaation (spousal sponsorship) for my hsuband in early September, along with an application to extend his existing work permit. Given that the existing prmit was an open permit, would implied status (once his current permit expires in a few weeks)...

    Hopefully I'm being paranoid

Thank you all! As to the Work Permit, I believe I'm ok on that. The post-graduation work permit is an open work permit, and what went in the package was the "Application to Change Conditions/Extend my Stay" with the PR application given as the reason.

    Hopefully I'm being paranoid

My husband and I are both in Canada - he's ona post-graduation work permit that expires later in the fall, I was born here. We sent in the whole package for his permanent residence application uner the "Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class" (by express-post, so I know it was delivered...
