Applied for a visitors visa for my 9 yr old daughter on 16th March. No communication subsequently till today She had a valid visa which was getting expired since her passport was expiring. Isn't it too late? She doesn't qualify for biometrics.

I had filed for visitor visa renewal for my 9 year old daughter on 16th March 22. Till today I haven't got any reply on the same. Visa renewal is because her passport was renewed. It's been already more then 45 working days. Could someone enlighten here?

Applied paper based TRV on 19th April 2017 for 3 of us. Got the decision on 11th April. 10 years visa stamp. On an average decisions are made as per the estimated timeline declared by the cic.

21 days is the official timeline but that's just an estimate. The actual time depends upon the visa office, your luck and the visa officer's mood. Chances of receiving a decision is low as just 2 working days left + 2-3 days for having your passport back. Anyways all the best. Hope you get the...

If it would have been an online application its understandable but as it's a paper based, retaining one's passport for so long is justified? Why don't out govt officials intervene to strengthen the visa process? Even the US has a far better system.

And one more thing it's 21 calandar days. No where in the cic website it's mentioned business days. Correct me if I am wrong.

I know I haven't finished 21 business days of processing and that's the reason I am asking others for their experiences in case if there are people who have applied before and have recd the decision.

Strange ! Heard for the first time that the visas are issued for 1 month. I thought the minimum visa validity one would get would be 6 months.

Good ! that means i should hear in a week as i applied on 19th april. How come your parents got visa for a month only? In general it should have been till the passport validity.
