Normal turn around time for Visa stamping is 10 days. But, this depends on the work load at the VO concerned. Regarding the question of new job and the passport, I would recommend checking with @legalfalcon . He is experienced on this more than me.

I got my passport back in 10 calendar days, as there were 2 holidays in between. A friend of mine got it in 7 days. But since your situation is different to mine, can't be sure. But not definitely 4 weeks. It's approved though. BG has been cleared.

Check with CIC helpline. Saw some threads indicating country of origin entered different. Better get it sorted at the earliest than later.

Mate Mine was the same. This is legit. We missed the date as well. Submitted the passport 2 days after last day with a letter of explanation. Got confirmation from VO that visa been stamped. Submit the passport at the earliest.

Guys, check your emails regularly. My status online was showing as in progress since July. But, i got PPR on Aug 10. There is a 30day time before which you need to submit your passports for stamping.
