I think you should use the new one, I lost my passport once and I used the old passport number to apply for sp extension, I got the sp with the old passport number and I can still use it in my new passport.

They are processing the application on 18th of Feb when they updated the website which is 7th of April, so I think your sp extension will be approved soon! I applied on 14th of March, don't think i can get it before i go back to my home country, really worried now!
