I'm not concerned about RO. I'm just curious what the officer says if you enter at an airport as a PR without a PR card. I'm intending to bring my COPR just in case. In the past I've used automated kiosks to scan my US passport, although I was not a PR at the time.

Did the CBSA officer ask if you were a PR when you entered, or did you show your US passport and validated COPR? I will be flying to Canada in a few days and still have not received my PR card. I'm curious what they did.

How long should I expect to wait once CIC receives replacement photos?

I got an email around 1 PM Eastern time yesterday. I don't have a message in MyCIC even with my application being linked.

Just got a request for new photos today. Looks like I'll be waiting another two months.

The visa officer will have no reason to deny you a PRTD because you will still be able to meet the 730 day residency obligation within 5 years of becoming a PR. However, if you have your PR card mailed to you, you won't need a PRTD in the first place unless you need to return to Canada before...

If you leave Canada and wish to return in August 2018, you will still be within the residency obligation if you apply for a PRTD at that time and the visa officer will have no reason to deny you. Are you able to have someone receive your PR card and then courier it to you in India?

It shows the time you linked the application there, not the day you landed.

You can give any address you wish with zero issue. They do not ask whose address it is at landing.
