sorry buddy, but I think the chance you can get your passport back is very low. CIC won't come back to work until Jan 2, and it will take at least 2 days to get your passport delivered. I really did not know that, considering in the official checklist document by CIC, it says: 'You are strongly encouraged to submit your police certificates with your application to the CIO.'

But now, the RCMP is expired and they ask for a new one... :( I did not know I can provide the RCMP later.... crying out loud
