I applied end of October 2023 and waiting for this result, my 2022 extension expires in July 2024 but my original PGWP is within the eligible timeline. Hoping we get approved, when did you apply and you said your extension expires in march 2024?

this is encouraging and do you know if those who were approved have their extensions expiring in 2024? I know of some who expired in 2023 because of passport issues that got approved but so far havent heard of any who are expiring in 2024 getting approved. maybe you can ask your lawyer

well the site does say if their Original PGWP expired between september 2021 and December 2023 they can apply. The open work permit received from the 2022 extension isnt their original PGWP but a completely different permit...

yup thats where the confusion lies, to me original means the first PGWP you received so i hope you applied before the deadline.

Hi thanks for the reply. My initial pgwp expired in December of 2021 but the work permit that I have now is not a pgwp anymore since it was converted into an OWP with the 2022 public policy.
