Yes you may put your parent's number. Police will call them and they need to visit the police station with your documents (copy) Passport, visa, aadhaar should be good enough

For us they just asked us to get the new passport. But we proactively also got the new PCC done for the new passport. But it should be fine. If they do need new PCC they will ask you.

Yes it is. We updated Aadhar to the permanent address (fortunately had valid Indian DL). Then for PCC we used Aadhar for Indian address proof and they accepted it fine.

I applied from BLS Bampton On 4th September 2020, I applied for new passport. I was issued the new passport on 9th September 2020 which I received on 14th September 2020.

My application was sent via Postal services. They made us a fool and rejected at BLS level. Even called their call center twice and they misguided us. Ended up paying 300$ extra for new tatkal passport and 1 month wasted

They rejected my wife's PCC request saying address on passport must match the PCC address. We now got new passport and applied for PCC on new passport again.

Well first of all, Congratulations! uppperkut is right. Only date that matters now is COPR. You need to land before your COPR expiry date.
