From what I read somewhere on cic website, once adoption has completed, the child (over age 18) cannot sponsor her biomom cause the adoption severs the ties. She is manipulative and crazy want to protect myself in the future

I didnt notice one of your replies above. I think I need to consult a lawyer to find out some answers. Adoption would prevent the children to sponsor any of the extended family on the bm side once they become of age. This I dont want happening. Its true that we become their legal guardian...

Also wanted to add that in our case we couldnt get a copy of valid ID of the mother as she was being difficult. So we explained that to CIC and it is no problem cause now the children are landed.

My husband and kids landed last year December.We filled out the imm5604 Declaration for minor children to travel in Canada with the mother signing off.. We didnt have court documents. It would help to explain who is taking care of your daughter in that affidavit.
