    According to citizenship law, the only requirement for it is that you physically present for 1095 days (3 years) in the previous 5 years before submitting the application & no character issues (committing crimes). Marriage is NOT part of citizenship applications!

    I tend to agree with this comment, and your former country where you fled from, you might still have nationality there (dual citizenship) - they can detain you as their own national, and Canada can NOT help you if detained in own country of citizenship… my advice is STRONGLY NOT recommend...

    This rule is for all babies born by you... they will all be Canadian citizen by descent... so if you have more children... they will have Canadian citizenship... for your grandchildren... if and when it occurs... then they would NOT be Canadian citizen unless born in Canada
