I bet you will get PPR before it expires. If you do leave, you can still mail your passport to your friend and they can mail it to CIC when they send you PPR

It usually takes at least three days.

You can choose to get it by email. It will be 30 days later.

Don't worry. If your work permit expires before you get PPR, just prepare an application to extend your work permit. Mail it to them before your current permit expires. The point is to buy yourself some time. As long as you mail it out before expiry date, you will have the implied status, which...

I am Dec 18, my BC changed to in process yesterday morning. 4 months after Medical. Yours should change soon.

Same thing happened to me. Its an actual change. Because yesterday was still applicable. I think DM and PPR is at the corner

My background check changed from "Not applicable" to "We are processing your background check" this morning. And they didn't ask my CV because I'm no Master or PhD. A lot of people get DM right after BC changes, so I don't think it's gonna take another 3 months. STAY POSITIVE
