I am applying from Calgary, but my oath letter arrived in snail mail about 2 days after ECAS update.

I took CELPIP-LS for my citizenship application, it was accepted without issue. As instructed by the checklist, I only sent in photocopies of the document and brought originals to the citizenship test in case they would want to check it (they did not) .

In my case, the CIC official checked each and every page / stamp of my passports and validated them against what I reported. but maybe that is because I don't travel much, it was not very hard to do the work.

I had the same experience, when i called CIC regarding my FP checking status, the agent was not able to tell me whether they received my FP, saying she can not see the details. however, she said that she can see the FP check status is complete, thus assume that everything is okay.

BTW, is it in ECAS where you see the invite to oath ceremony? I am planning to somehow wane myself off ECAS addition syndrome, but don't want to start the therapy before I am sure I won't miss anything important.

Congrats. Since our exams are just 2 days apart, It gives me hope that i will have my oath ceremony on the next occasion, on Feb 26th.

I did CELPIP and sent in a photocopy with my application. The officer did not ask to see the original.

It will be a paper letter. So it is quite normal to take one week for the letter to arrive after you see the update in ECAS.

Thanks, I just came back from the test. It took about 45 minutes, and it was just as you had described. I don't see any apparant order how they interview the applicants. But it was not that big a difference, I am fairly sure they will finish interviewing all in about 1 hour

oh, one thing you maybe want to prepare is your upcoming travel dates. they will ask you to write down the dates on the paper and use it as a basis for scheduling the oath ceremony.
