Last note before I sign off, I got my citizenship on March the 1st, but waited with the passport 2 months because I spent money on other things, in hindsight, I should have done that immediately. So friends: A little friendly advise, as soon as you're legal to, APPLY FOR PASSPORT!!

So to continue my timeline, I applied through Service Canada on the 30th of April, and in the same week got a new job which requires travel within a month... I waited until 10 business days before travel (24th of May), and called in. 144 attempts to break into the line, then another 186 spots...

Keep dialing. it took 103 attempts Wednesday, and 144 attempts the week or so before. you just have to keep trying till you break into the line.

I applied at a Service Canada office in Manitoba, on April 29th, then promptly got a new job requiring travel in Early June. Phoned yesterday to see if they'd transfer. Took 144 tries to get the proper queue, then I was at 168 on the call list. Got through, and local Winnipeg office called me...

Just final update for me, got my certificate in the mail yesterday, took exactly 3 weeks from ceremony till paper in hand. Next up is passport. Again, thanks for help and support! Keep it up, and you will get yours eventually!
