Just an update to say that I just received the card today in the mail

CoPR: April 22, 2021 Photos sent: April 23, 2021 via regular mail, probably delivered a few days later PR Card approved and sent: Sep 27

It blows my mind how outdated this photo mailing system is to issue a card. I am really hoping the new ePortal system gets implemented for everyone soon. Sorry, needed to vent a little.

I will move out of my current address in the next couple of months and high chances of it happening very close to the card approval/mail date. Has anyone been in the same situation? Wondering how and when to contact them.

I believe you first have to apply for a Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) and show it instead of the PR card when you re-enter.

Is it correct to assume that it is taking about 4 months +1 or 2 weeks for a GU/approval?

If I call IRCC (888 2422100), would they be able to let me know if they received the mail with the photos? Or they are unable to know since it's under Etobicoke office?

I was requested to send printed photos to Etobicoke office. I did not receive anything related to the PR Confirmation Portal, nor any call or verification of address. I honestly would have much preferred to upload digital pictures instead, but it wasn't the case for me.

Did you guys send the photos via regular mail? Does Etobicoke notify when they receive the photos and/or when they send the PR card?

My application was approved on the 22 but it took almost a week for me to receive the actual CoPR letter.
