i got the fingerprints request from st.clair. but when i called cic call center , they told me that my file is being processed now at mississauga office.

For cic everything is normal. But for us it is very frustrating . Especially if you are really waiting for the canadian passport to travel abroad.

Your ECAS will not be updated when they receive your FP results. To make sure they receive it you have to call them. You can email rcmp to know if they send the results to cic. If not you can forward the mail from rcmp to them. In general, when you receive the results by mail from rcmp then you...

It seems we are in the same boat. I applied back in 2006 and got it in 2011. I am still waiting for the test invite though. My brother applied in 2010 for immigration and got his citizenship in 2015. I applied in 2006 and still waiting. This is not fair. Anyway , congratulations. Best of luck

I can see that people who get fingerprints move faster after it is done. At least we know the our file is moving better than the silence for months

mississauga office is just few km away from my home address, and st. clair is my office , weird. i just did the finger prints today. hope to get the test request soon. It look the cases who gets fingerprints move faster later on. Is this correct??

No one knows why they select few people for finger prints or based on what. But it is kind of security check. It usually doesn't delay your case much. Thanks
