As far as I know, quite a few people have recetly landed as a permanent resident over the phone.

Just an update. Applied for mom citizenship on Feb 28, 2018. Received test invite for Feb 06, 2019. Cic told her that her file was in Mississauga but the test is in Scarborough. Hope everyone waiting get their test date soon :)

Good morning peeps. Have a question . My friend is in a complex situation right now. She just became PR. Her husband (sponsor) got into some trouble and has to go to court. If he got convicted or has a warrant out for his arrest, will it affect the newly sponsored PR in any way? Thanks

It is pretty normal if you are applying inland. Just wait for them to contact you for next steps which would be the schedule A and PCC. Did you already submit these? After that will come med request. What does your ecas say??
