February 2017 * OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLIC*

I submitted my Schedule A and PCC on April 6th.. So not too far apart. Hopefully you get your file transferred soon! Kind of weird that my CIC has no update or activity like everyone else seems to be getting.. The whole process is all screwy right now.

Thank you for the info! So we should expect another month until AOR2 then.. Darn.

February 2017 * OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLIC*

We received AOR1 on 3/8 and sponsorship approval on 3/14. We hadn't heard anything from them since then, but finally got the email that our file was transferred to Ottawa on 5/19.

February 2017 * OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLIC*

After a long spell of no correspondence, we finally received notice that my Schedule A was received through webform and that our file has been transferred to Ottawa. Is this considered AOR2?

February 2017 * OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLIC*

We had the same problem but figured it out after 5 tries. There's a part that asks you how many people are included on your application. We kept putting "1" since it was only me applying for permanent residency. But the directions state to include the sponsor as well. It worked as soon as we put...

February 2017 * OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLIC*

Yes, we received Sponsorship Approval just a few days after they processed our file. That was the last correspondence and we have not heard anything from them since then. When I inquired about not getting correspondence about the Schedule A and PCC, they told me I was still in the "time frame"...

February 2017 * OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLIC*

I agree! Seems like the process could go by way smoother if we could have just submitted medical checks, PCC, and Schedule A up front. Most of us got these things done around the same time we submitted our application anyway. Very very frustrating. :(

February 2017 * OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLIC*

Just an FYI - After not receiving any correspondence regarding my Schedule A, I just submitted it through webform on 4/6. Still never got correspondence following. My husband was able to get on a call with CIC, and they basically said as long as you got an email receipt, there's nothing much...

February 2017 * OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLIC*

Hi everyone, we received SA on 3/14 and have successfully linked our application online. We have yet to receive any kind of correspondence regarding submitting my Schedule A and criminal background check. Is this normal? The e-mail said we should've gotten the request within 5 business days.

Oh! I didn't know that you didn't have to physically mail in it. That's very helpful. Thank you! :)

Hi prvc, thank you! Yes I am an American citizen applying for PR. I was actually thinking of using Fieldprint since I used them just a few months ago to get fingerprinted for my employer. Fieldprint says they do not mail results through the mail and will only upload it to your online portal...

Can anyone recommend an FBI approved channeler? According to their website they've got a bunch, but wondering which one might be the best one to use? https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks/list-of-fbi-approved-channelers-for-departmental-order-submissions

US Citizen w/ pending outland PR app - Work remotely for US company while in BC

Hi everyone, this one was sort of tricky to explain... Not sure if I'm even posting in the correct thread or if I should be in spousal sponsorship but I appreciate you taking the time to read/respond. :) I am a US citizen who has an open/pending Outland Permanent Residency application through...

Police Certificate for Non-Accompanying family members

Just got a response back from los-angeles-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca- Dear Madam, You parents and siblings are not required to provide police certificates or medical examinations. ..Just in case anyone else was wondering! :)

Police Certificate for Non-Accompanying family members

Wow, that is A LOT. Haha. It seems like generally everyone has the same idea of just including as much as they can over the years of the relationship so I'm not too worried about that part. I am concerned though that my husband hasn't really kept any of his boarding passes. I don't think that...

Police Certificate for Non-Accompanying family members

My husband and I did something a bit similar.. We have a few lines of conversation at the beginning of the year, middle of the year, and end of the year for 4 consecutive years and tried to show a range of things.. From the mushy stuff, to arguments, planning trips, etc.. Fingers crossed! I've...

Police Certificate for Non-Accompanying family members

Wow, thank you @danawhitaker! I found ALL of your information to be extremely helpful. Also, I'm on the same boat as you as far as being more comfortable with sending in more. My husband and I are trying to squeeze as much as we can into the allowed pages, and are a bit surprised that they...

Police Certificate for Non-Accompanying family members

Wow, 6 months?! That is insane. It's pretty crazy how many changes they've made to apply to be a PR! I've heard of some files being as big as 800 pages before. Now, you're only allowed 20 photographs max and 10 pages total of e-mails/letters/social media conversations, etc.. Our entire...

Police Certificate for Non-Accompanying family members

Thank you Pontianak! My husband is sort of leaning the direction as well. Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to receive the police certificates in the mail after you sent in the forms to the FBI? And did you just mail the unopened letters / results to CIC? Also, I read also that all...
