Oh man!!! I think Hamilton is one of the processing offices in Canada which is skewing the time to 1 year (by taking more than a year by itself)..Damm!!

I just called them again and to quote "If you are on visitor visa and applying for PCC, we need to see the letter from CIC. not when you are on Work/student visa" Your friend applied for himself or for the parents?

Can you apply for PCC without providing 'CIC letter asking for PCC' to BLS? I called their customer support and looks like they want to see the letter. Anyone else had different experience/conversation?

This is bit weird, I agree. So, per my understanding, PCC document is part of the 'background' check. Do you think for parents who are here for more than an year, PCC might not be required and hence 'background check' is coming as 'Not Applicable'? Again, just a wild guess, PLEASE do nto make...

Sorry but just wanted to re-iterate. Per step 7, if the application number has been generated (one without X), this implies that the file has passed the stage of completeness (and fees and stuff)?

I know this has been discussed before but I couldn't find the exact page number - Are there any nuances in linking the application online? Can someone please forward me the page number where the 'ideal' way to link the application in CIC has been discussed?
