Hey My ARC was requested March 30th and my PPR was received June 25. The date of the ARC granted letter was actually dated June 11th when it came with the visa. I think in most case it shoudn't take more than 2 months. I hope you handed in your RCMP Police check ahead of time with doc upload.

Won appeal December 15th and PPR received June 25th.

Process finally over. Passport picked up yesterday with Visa. Landing in Canada Tuesday. :) Good luck to everyone on this journey.

It all depends on the visa office really. Because CBSA gets back to them usually within 90 days.

They will attach the ARC granted form to the visa with confirmation of PPR. You won't get separate communication that it was granted - just straight to PPR.

It was a deportation order. ARC granted usually tak 2 to 3 months from what i see to be approved. My visa office was Kingston, JA

I agree! No one has good news since about March. I can't believe this. All appeals still waiting. This isn't fair.

I am with you on that. It has been 2 months and a week since we submitted the ARC no response as yet. Plus you are not able to apply for it until they ask. Yes it doesn't matter how long ago as long as a deportation order was issued he will need to ask for permission to let back in the country...

Hey Marlicia, if you're husband left Canada as a result of a deportation order then yes, he will need ARC granted before passport request. It's been 2 months since we've been waiting.

I have not gotten any updates as yet. I submitted everything and got confirmation they received it Apr 2.

Yeah that's a long time. I got the prearrival and the ARC a day apart.

I am hoping that I get a response soon. I guess the ARC is part of the background check.

Timeline similar to yours. Won appeal December got request for new medical and police record February and got asked for ARC letter and fees March 29th. Which we paid and submitted March 30th. Now waiting.

Have you got the request for it from visa office as of yet or you waiting?

ARC is an authorization to return to Canada. They have to grant you permission of you are coming back after a deportation order was previously issued.

I think @shalenabennie gave you the best answer she could. No one knows how long. BGC is last step before passport request usually. Some ppl it is very quick others take at least a year. I have been in BGC since February.
