The same thing happened to me. I called up CIC to confirm the time and location. Then I printed the online notification and took it with me. That was accepted. CIC call centre didn't need to send me another email.

Thank you. My application is family. I have found out that it is actually HMCS York which is Her Majesty's Canadian Ship York. It is some sort of a naval base in Toronto. Don't ask me why I was sent there.
