am I able to use c216 rcmp form fingerprint card for FBI clearance?

FBI clearance - has anyone had to do it? If so what form was your finger print card on? My husband left to go back to sea for work, before he left we completed c216 finger print card with the opp. Does anyone know if I am able to send this one or must they be done on an certain American form?
