Hi... i just got my call in notice. Did they request proof of cohabitation as one of the documents to bring? Its on my list and was wondering if i being everything i sent as proof in the application.

I recieved an email from ottawa cic (after receiving AIP, SA and DM) which was titled 'call in notice'. They want us to bring; proof of PR payment, documents sent by cic and proof of cohabitation. Am i correct in assuming this is landing interview and not a relationship interview?

So an update of my timeline: App filed: may 29th AOR: june 26th OWP filed: june 30th OWP approved: july 19th Schedule A sent: july 20th

I dont understand this refusal... the officer believed the relationship to be geniune but refused it because the marriage wasnt recognised culturally? I thought it just had to be legally recognised in canada and the relationship had to be genuine?! Grrr

Can you volunteer while youre waiting for the OWP? ive heard both answers; you cant even volunteer on a visitor visa and, you can as long as its never a paid position for canadians. I want to volunteer at the humane society but dont wanna fall foul of the rules. Doesn anyone have a link to...

I apllied to extend my stay as a visitor May 5th... still heard nothing since its taking around 80 days atm. We submitted our spousal sponsorship may 28th so now we're just waiting...

Of by landed you mean arriving in canada as a visitor... you can begin the application immediately... you can even begin now and sunmit it all when you arrive

You will have implied status as a visitor but you cant keep working on implied status with IEC

You cant prenupt your way out of the undertaking.... it goes against the whole point of sponsorship so if she signed something to get out of his undertaking it isnt legal. She may have signed a prenupt so she cant get anything as per normal divorce but hes still liable for 3 years social...

I just looked up how to get an annulment (its ontario but the whole of canada will be similar)... there are very limited reasons.... has he told you how he will do it because they specifically stste that marrying just to move to canada isnt a good enough reason for annulment so he cant even say...

You can also sponsor your common law partner... you cant annul common law you just break up. He sponsored you as his wife... if.he gets an annulment that doesnt turn back time the sponsorship is already in place. Hes just trying to scare you. Im also pretty doubtful he could get an annulment...

Nope. Once youre landed he is liable for the 3 year sponsorship. The only thing he could have done is contact cic before your landing interview but its too late now
