    Medical request: Pap test

I would definitely call other physicians in your area and see what tests they do. Pap test is not part of the medical examination for admission to Canada. It sounds to like they have set up a deal with these doctors they are recommending you to go see, and they make $$$ of everyone they refer.

    Should I delay landing?

Thanks everyone for your replies! My COPR expires in Jan 2019 so I do have the option to land in October. So if I was to change my flight to go via the US, I could go and flagpole ASAP and then even if my PR card doesn't arrive in time then I would still be able to cross back into Canada by...

    Should I delay landing?

Hey everyone! I just received my COPR (yay!), but I'm trying to think strategically as to when I land (currently living in Canada), as I am travelling back home mid-October for my brothers wedding. Based on the current processing times for initial PR cards (61 days) + a week for postage, I...

    Passport request!

Hi everyone, Very exciting - I just got PPR! I just have one question - I have a child who is Canadian (born here) and he was included on the application (i.e. he was born before we submitted the application). Doe she count as an "accompanying family member"? The PPR requests: "Please submit...

    Work permit extension

The CIC website says to not submit more than one application as it can delay processing. This is a tricky situation, and I don't know if there is a 'right' answer. You could wait until they process your application and they may just request further documents (and then you could send your...

My visa got approved or not?

When you say agent, do you mean a lawyer? If you used a representative then they are the only ones who can enquire about your application status. I would reach out to them and see if they can give you more information.

Closed work permit - exceed estimated processing time

Closed work permit - exceed estimated processing time

Thanks for your reply. What is most frustrating is that they have been processing applications submitted on February 8th for over one month now! It's like there's no one even working on them!

Closed work permit - exceed estimated processing time

Hi everyone, I applied for a closed work permit on March 1st. My job is LMIA-exempt and a full application package was submitted (this isn't my first rodeo). When I submitted my application online, the estimated processing time was 35 days and they were "processing applications submitted on...

    Inland Spouse Sponsorship (Quebec)

Have a look through the prior communications you received from IRCC. This paragraph was in a letter we received from the IRCC that my partner had been approved to sponsor. We didn't get a separate letter inviting us to apply. If you don't have the invitation, you will need to contact the IRCC...
