Toronto.. Submitted to BLS Brampton...

Submitted OCI postal application on 17th June.. BLS portal showed as "processing at consulate general" on June 23rd.. It has showed up as "in process" on the OCI portal today.. Any estimate on: 1. Time to complete 2. Time to get back originals. Thanks

Hi folks - After submission of documents at BLS, how long does it take for us to be able to check our status at the OCI website https://ociservices.gov.in/ ... I submitted mine over 2 weeks ago, and the BLS status shows "processing at consulate general" but no update in the OCI website..

lololll sorry, my bad.. :-D Wish I had checked this forum or called BLS before sending originals. They really should update their portal. Now just pacing around nervously until I get my originals back safely..

Lolll oh man this is so confusing.. they did charge me $30 for returning originals.. When i selected postal service for OCI, total fee was 80 (20 for pickup and 2x30 for drop off of original plus drop off of OCI card)... what is happening lollll

Ohh.. But doesn't the checklist specify "original and copy" for indian passport, canadian passport, and citizenship certificate? Said so in the instructions too.. Was I not supposed to send it?

I think this has changed now. The checklist specifies that we need to send in original canadian passport, indian passport and canadian citizenship certificate. I called BLS and they confirmed that too..

4 business days. Oath done on a Monday, certificate came on Friday

Unlikely. Cause if your oath is scheduled, your tracker would be updated. However these things are very fluid and can change anytime. My oath was originally scheduled for March 2022, and then with less than a week's notice they rescheduled it to Oct 2021.
