No idea why mine was sent for secondary review. I called to change my address since I had moved and they told me that a letter has been sent to my old address for me to go to edmonton and pick up my card. Then they arranged for me to go and pick up without the letter.

Calling does help in getting updated status which is not updated on ecs. I called yesterday and was told that my PR card is sent to edmonton office for collection but website does not mention anything. I am now going to edmonton CIC office on 13th to pickup.

PR card was mailed and I received yesterday in my mail box. Other family members who applied together are still waiting.

Hi All Does getting a PRTD have any effect (quicker processing) on getting my PR card which is in secondary review?

It depends on personal experience. In my case, I attached all documents you mentioned but still went into secondary review. However, application of one of my son went through without any secondary review and other son has gone into secondary eeview. We all applied for renewal seperately.

How do you check your timeline? I have been checking on ecas which just says that my application was received on Oct 31, 2016. Thats all.
