Make sure you're using the newest version of the form. I had problems validating mine at first before realizing they had uploaded a new version of the form.

Yes just today it changed to passed, and never showed that it was in progress before today either.

Just saw that medical shows at passed in MyCIC! We submitted upfront with the app Feb 3/17. Background check still remains in progress.

Also noticed that MyCIC shows background check in progress. I thought they only start processing background checks once SA/AIP are granted? Any thoughts?

OWP shows as approved on MyCIC today! Total time took 77 days from sending in the application. Finally hubby can start working and carry on with life as usual while we wait. *sigh of relief*

I was never able to link to mycic until the day before getting AOR even though we tried literally every day before then.

We were able to link the app on mycic feb 23 2017 and the request to upload schedule a was already there so I don't imagine it'll take too long. Couple of days maybe? We submitted the police check upfront so there was no request for that one.

Most likely you have an outdated version of the form. Same thing happened to me with that form. Just go to the site and download the new one then fill it out and it should validate without issue.

Has anyone been able to link their application to MyCIC? I've tried a bunch of times but haven't figured out the right combo of information to search yet, but we haven't received AOR yet so we don't have the application number. Do you need AOR first in order to be able to link the app?

I think you have to submit a copy of the marriage certificate so I would go ahead and order one. As for the birth certificate, as long as it has everything also in English then you shouldn't need to have it translated. So a regular copy should be fine. This is my understanding at least.
