I did the old pathway. Option 1. Submitted my papers Dec 19 and got confirmation from cic via email that they recvd my application and they started processing it Dec 29.

Can anyone please advise on the easiest way to get nbi clearance. Do I really need to go to the consul Vancouver ? Also, is it really a requirement. Or there'should a possibility that cic won't ask for it? I submitted my application last December and it wasn't returned. I'm assuming it is ok.
