One year in Canada 2.5 years outside Canada with spouse. I am DM for 10 days now.

I think what has happened is they have increased their speed and processed many applications in a short time since 2-3 weeks ago and now there are a very big bunch of cards to be printed and posted. I guess that is the reason we do not see any status change after DM.

Does "in person pickup" take 5 months until they let you know about it??!!!

I can't understand what exactly happens between DM and when you receive your card. Some people receive it in 5 days and some more than a month and some months. Nothing is stable in IRCC except long queues of applications which always exist.

Their response is a single letter they send to all people who ask them questions. No matter what the question is.

When did you receive DM?

My case took 12 days with too many travels, but I have a Canadian spouse.

Hello Has anybody heard about someone being asked to pick up his renewed PR card personally during COVID pandemic? Do they generally do it randomly or it has some rules? Do they still do it in the current pandemic condition?

The recent comments show that they have started opening the envelopes very fast. They approve easy applications right away and put the hard ones aside until God knows when they work on them! Then if you receive AOR and after one or two days it is still "in process" you belong to the second...

You are very lucky. Only in one day your processing ended. Mine was also started on Sep 24 and I am still seeing "in process". I hope it won't take more than a week.
