It normally takes 14 days, my CIC was updated with the visa number 2 days before I received my passport, maybe keep checking your CIC account.

No, not yet, but after almost one month from requesting medical test, they requested a proof that my wife is residing in Canada :mad:, they could have asked for medical test and a proof at the same time. I guess I will have to wait another month to know what they need next

I only know the one, and I am 2nd to the last in the list. I have not seen many posts from people following the new expedite process too, I am guessing the process has become so fast that they don't even need to get into such forums :D

We contacted the local MP a week ago, they had promised to get back to us within 10days, and they did after 6 days. Then MP said that they need to contact VO this time since IRCC in Canada suggested that. It seems their first stop is IRCC in Canada, if IRCC does not have detailed answer, MP...

It is frustrating and true, i have watched people getting their PPR within 6 months. I think it is because where we come from, strict security screening measures for certain nationalities, or our countries take long time to respond to their queries. I wish there is a mechanism in place to track...

I completely understand how you feel, I feel it too. I believe all the delay is due to security screening. There is really nothing we can do, I hope we all get PPR soon

Hey guys, IRCC said that they've committed to process 80% of the applications submitted before 07Dec16 by the end of 2017, here we are few hours away to the end of 2017 and I have not received PPR yet. I guess I am from the 20% :(, I have never thought I am that special. Who is here has not...

I believe it is a good idea to call and find out, your sponsor approval should be processed by now if they had received your application on August. Have you tried to look for your application through here https://services3.cic.gc.ca ? Your sponsor should be able to use his Unique Client...
