Hi, I was wondering if an English degree in obtained in Poland is enough language proof to be eligible to apply for a citizenship if the transcript says that the classes were held in both Polish and English.

Hi, do you guys have any idea how long the return of a passport takes from Ottawa? I sent mine on the 13th of February and it reached Ottawa the next day. I have a polish passport.

I got my passport request today too! It took exactly 15 days since my background check changed. I got my learners driver's licence right away :)

I just find it weird because my background check changed its status on mycic and i read on the forum that it's one of the last steps of getting the decision. Thought i would've seen some information in the notes. Some people wrote on this forum that the notes were useless, maybe I have to agree...

It says it was requested on the 16th of January, and it says that the last date updated is October 20 and there is no sign of an officer working on my application since my wife was approved as a sponsor. It looks like it only contains information from the Canada office.

Was hoping that sending all required documents upfront would make speed up the process. Anyway, we have to be patient.

My application was filed on the 29th of August, I recieved aor2 on the 17 of October and that was the last time I heard from the immigration. All payments, as well as medicals, were sent upfront.

that's very disappointing. Was hoping to get my permanent residency status around January but seems like it's not very likely they'll start processing my back ground check till then
