    NEXUS Application

You have to live in the US\Canada for 3+ years as a permanent resident to qualify. Time spent on other visas doesn't count. Just got my rejection letter in the mail today. Was rejected for not meeting the residency requirement.

Wait, really? I didn't know about that. I guess I'll get rejected, then lol. I've been a PR for < 1 year.

    NEXUS Application

Hey Everyone, I'm a Canadian PR that recently applied for the NEXUS program. I applied almost 2 weeks ago and my application is still in the "Pending Review" status. Does anyone know how long the process usually takes? I'm assuming they haven't started on my application yet. Thanks

    Masters with lower CGPA

For information about Canadian education, you'd be better off asking in the International Students thread. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/forums/international-students.2/

Canadian PR and citizenship time frame

If your priority date is Dec 2012, I think you're being optimistic if you think your date will become current in 5 years. I think moving to Canada is the right decision.

Rate of issuing PPRs slowing down?? (Quick analysis of Immitracker data)

Regardless, I'm sure the number is higher than 29.. That said, however, I think that the immitracker was fairly new at the time and most people didn't use it. I had just received my ITA around then.

Rate of issuing PPRs slowing down?? (Quick analysis of Immitracker data)

Are you sure that these stats are correct? I'm fairly certain that the number of PPRs issued in Jan 2017 is a lot higher than 29. They seem way off.

The requirements vary depending on what country your degree is from. The link I provided should allow you to check the requirements for your degree.

How many degrees require ECA for EE

Ideally, you would only need to evaluate your highest degree, which in your case would be your PhD. You can look at the documents required to get your degree evaluated here. https://www.wes.org/ca/required-documents/

[URGENT] Closed work permit application PR in process

    1. No. There's no way to "contact" CIC other than through the call center and even there only the information relavant to the company's application would be given out. CIC doesn't give out information about your applications to third parties. 2. If you receive PPR, CIC will probably cancel your...

Going back to Canada after 1.5 years

I agree with @canuck_in_uk. I would add that the best way for you to bring your wife to Canada would be for her to study here.

is admission to funded phd can be considered as valid job offer (4012)

"in what what ways i am violating the job requirement policy." You don't have an LMIA or a closed work permit. What you have is a study permit. TAs\RAs are still students.

    AOR in February 2018

If you have a reference letter from Company D, you don't really need one from Company C given that you only get points for up to 3 years of foreign work experience. Move Company C to your Personal History.

is admission to funded phd can be considered as valid job offer (4012)

I'm sorry, but the other responses to this thread are incorrect. "i have received admission for phd " Am I correct in assuming that you've been admitted to a Canadian university? If I am, then the answer is no. You've been admitted to a Canadian university as a PhD student. This is not an...

    Problem with Medicals - Urgent

"How did you reuse your medicals to apply for PR?" Just upload the sheet you received from the clinic (the one that has your UMI number and your photo). "What do I have to ask for the doctor, or inform on my application?" Nothing.

    Education assessment

Your post grad diploma would be irrelevant. Assuming your Indian masters is assessed as being equivalent to a Canadian masters, you should get points for a masters degree.
