I remember attaching a copy of my title during the AES process. I then emailed the border my VIN and ITN. Do I also have to email a scanned copy of my title?

I believe you apply for it right away when you move there, then you have to wait for 3 months before the benefits kick in.

Ok, sounds easy enough. My car had a recall on it, but the dealership took care of it. Do I just get a document from the dealership stating that the recall was addressed?

Ottawa doesn't require the physical passport if you are from a visa-exempt country, but they still send a request for a photocopy of your passport, among other things.

Congrats and thanks for this information! It reminded me that I should apply for my SIN after I land. The office is 15 minutes from the Peace Arch, and it looks like I just need my COPR and passport, so that will be useful when I apply to jobs.

If it's only a matter of having your PR card, I don't think that would be an issue. It can be sent to my husband's mother, and she'd forward it to us. And I'll be traveling by private vehicle, so I may not even need that. I'm mostly worried that if we "land" but don't establish residence right...
