9 months is a lot of time. You will get your PR cards delivered in Canada and you can either have it couriered to India OR choose to apply for PRTD. It takes a week to get PRTD from India(you can apply in any of the VFS offices).

I have faced the same issue. Landed on Apr 5 and multiple attempts till Apr 24 were failing. Try do an exact copy(including punctuation) of birth place from passport and keep trying 3-4 times in a week. You will be able to link eventually :-)

Could you please elaborate on what we will see in document section in case of new photo request? Do you mean this section in CIC account "Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents."?

Same here, landed on Apr 5, Toronto. Status was updated for dependents. Changed to submitted, after I checked their applications. However, there was no "updated" status on my application(primary applicant)..

Any idea, if its 6 months till landing date or 6 months till PR cards processing.. say, some one lands after 4-5 months since the photos are taken and PR card takes 2 more months, is there a chance of photo out of date..

Writing on the back of two photos should not be a problem.. It says one photo must include. I do not see anywhere that, you should write only on one photo..
