    Final Request Email

Yes, it was just a little odd to me because I thought they only did that if your medical was expired or about to expire very soon after issuing COPR. Mine was still valid for another 4 months. Oh well, I hope to do my landing next month.

    Final Request Email

Also I received my COPR last Friday. So it took one week from when I sent my stuff to them. The valid until date is a little random. It's usually whenever your medicals expire, which would be October for me. But my COPR is valid until Feb 1, 2018.

    Final Request Email

I'm not sure about the amendments on the passport because I didn't have any. I just sent in my bio page with pic.

    Final Request Email

I literally just did everything you are talking about. Only send a photocopy of your passport. 2 photos of yourself only. Make sure you follow the specs and have the back of one stamped by photographer and put your name and dob on the back of both. I simply printed off the email and filled out...

    Decision made?

My understanding is that they request a copy of your passport (bio page only) if you're visa exempt.

JANUARY 2017 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Decision made this morning! US applicant processed in Ottawa. App received Jan 31st. Sent PCC, schedule A, and medicals upfront. Only request I got was for details of military service on March 10. Background in process for 6 weeks. 4 months from receipt of app to decision made. That was pretty...

When can my wife come to Canada

I am American married to Canadian with app in process. I've travelled to Canada once since our app has been in process. They just asked me the reason for my visit, I told them to visit family. They asked what family, I told them my wife. They asked when was the last time I visited Canada, I told...

This is correct. This is where I sent mine via FedEx and they received it.

    Help! Checklist

I checked the box just to acknowledge that I read it and that I checked for country specific requirements. I didn't have any either. Probably not a huge deal either way. But I checked the box and it worked for me.

Sponsor Spouse: Confusing Q. (military service, children, family ties)

Military service information was not originally a requirement for me as I did not have a country specific checklist. I was, however, in the military as stated on my background declaration. They sent a request for IMM5546 via Mycic account. It specifically stated "Military Records (IMM 5546E)...

    Outland Application

You can include those things but certainly not necessary. I just put all of my stuff in one pile in order of the check list. As for birth certificate, that would depend on your country specific instructions. I only had to include a copy of birth certificate. Letters may be country specific as...

Certified True Copy - Marriage Certificate

Must be country specific. I am also from the US and didn't have to have anything certified or notarized. Just copies.

    US outland applicants' thread :)

It would probably give you peace of mind if you go ahead and submit for a new FBI clearance as it can take 2-3 months to get it. That way you don't have to worry about it delaying your application if they do request a new one. And it's not that expensive. I say it's better to have it and not...

Dont remember exact month. Schedule A doesnt like it

I had overlapping dates. It accepted one and didn't accept one. They really need to work out all the quirks with that form. You literally have to put in false information in order for the form to validate, which defeats the purpose of the form. On the UCI number, I'd leave it blank if you...

Dont remember exact month. Schedule A doesnt like it

I'm not sure exactly what you are saying. But I "think" you should choose Activity 1 as it covers a greater period of time. But even if you used Activity 2, it still goes back 10 years. I wouldn't think it would matter much at the end of the day since they recommend using your best guess for...

Dont remember exact month. Schedule A doesnt like it

I found this on CIC's Help Centre (FAQ): "There are three history fields on the form: •work history •address history •education history Each has a “to” section. This is where you put when you finished that activity or moved from that address. If you are still working or studying, or if you...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

They didn't request it. I had already gotten my FBI check done as the new changes in December hadn't happened yet. So when I applied in January, I sent the FBI check in with my application. But I have read of other people notifying CIC of the approximate wait time for PCC and requesting an...

Mine took about 8 weeks. Applied at the beginning of October and received results at the beginning of December.

Still have not recieved Schedule A bakground check request.

I did not call them. If I would have had any issues uploading due to their error, I definitely would have contacted them. But I uploaded it about a week later with no issues. It was stressful with it saying that it was overdue, but hopefully this won't cause any unnecessary delay. My app hadn't...

    How to respond to this

You don't. It is just giving you one last chance to declare any changes before they issue your COPR. Some people tend to "forget" they have kids or got married then get upset when they can't sponsor them later. Just send the passport and pics if there are no other changes to report.
