I see i thought that it was some pattern that you get an update email and you might hear something from them back but in my case i have received two update emails last week on tuesday and friday, without any actual updates :/

It was an internal error on their part, anyways the good thing is they have moved past it and hopefully we will be getting our visas soon.

I applied paper based but i have linked my application online. There was a request in my CIC account to upload my late LOA, i uploaded it there and emailed them aswell incase there is even a slightest chance that would speed up the processing.. thats strange, did you contact your VFS about this?

umm alright! i sent them 2 Case specific enquiries on 1st and 2nd sept respectively but they replied to my first one in which i didn't attach my deferral letter, so i am guessing it probably didnt work! I applied for Meng aswell, this means we will all be receiving Requests for renewed LOA now...
