That's not my dilemma. I need coverage for short day visits to the US. We are also visiting family in the west coast for a week and need US travel insurance. I am having trouble finding the travel coverage during that 3 month waiting period. Steve

We are moving to Ontario in 2 weeks but will be traveling back to US frequently for short visits. My understanding is that during the 3 month waiting period the private health insurance would not cover emergency medical during the visits to the US. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks...

Yes, I agree that sounds like a better idea. We also plan to sell our US car and therefore not import it. I assume it would then also be better plan to have a rental car when we cross. Steve

Update. It finally worked today when I just entered passport info and left birthplace blank. All very weird!

I also don't see any way to contact them by phone outside of the Canada. I tried to call 1-613-944-4000 and that did not work for me either.

I guess good IT support is hard to find these days. I know it works much better when trying to collect taxes though.
