i sent a letter to my local cic as indicated on the original invite to oath requesting for a different date.I provided my reason as to why I cannot make it on the original date. I received the notice with the new date in the mail exactly a month from my inquiry.

I checked ecas today and it seems the notice for the re- scheduled oath invite was sent on December 19th. The new date is on Jan 08, 2019. I did not receive the notice via email, so sent a case specific inquiry. If everything goes well, our file will be completed on Jan 08, 2019.o_O

I suggest not to do so, unless necessary. I have requested for a reschedule of my oath taking and I have not geard anything back. Most forum members re-scheduling oath says it takes from 1 to 3 months before they hear anything from CIC.

I requested for an earlier or later date too. I have not been rescheduled and still waiting for a new date.

I checked my CIC application and it's now decision made. However, I have not received any email regarding oath taking dates.

I did not have enough time to prepare as well, what worked for me was reading the book 3x and understanding it thoroughly. For practice test the following link worked for me:http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/ But as they say different things work for different people.

interview was more conversational, where do I work? Do I like my job? How was I? My visits to the USA. That was it and afterwards I was told I'll receive invite for oath.

Citizenship Test was done today, perfect score and was told during the interview that invite to attend the oath might take 4 weeks. So now, back to waiting and hoping this will be a shorter wait. GoodLuck to all!!:)

thanks, the funny thing is that on ecas it shows that my test invite was sent on August 9th but the email that I got was dated August 28th.

after your test/interview, they scheduled your oath taking the following day? Did they give you the oath taking invite on the spot after interview and test? thanks
