Hi, Haven't gone through all the replies, however this is what I have done with respect to experience letter not being issued by my company. I have notarized a bond paper with all the duties and responsibilities which was signed by my colleague. Basically it was statutory declaration.

Yes you need to specify every detail on the job duties letter and it needs to be notarized.
