    Permanent resident card processing time

How long has it been taking to receiver your PR cards?? I know they say up to 6 weeks but I'm wondering how reliable this is. I'm coming up on 4 weeks waiting for it and I need it to exchange my drivers license and for proof of residency for a background check for work... Has anyone who landed...

    Outland while in Canada

I only figured it out when I saw people that filed around the same time I did were seeing progress in their applications and I hadn't heard anything. I called the visa office and they confirmed my suspicion that it was filed as inland. We had to contact our MP's office and they helped us refile...

    Outland while in Canada

Make sure that you clearly label that this is an outland application, maybe with a letter of intent or something. I filed outland while in Canada and they accidentally filed me as inland (which takes a lot longer!) and getting them to re-file it was a nightmare! It shouldn't be an issue, just...

    Really Need Some Advice

Yup, there needs to be a significant barrier to marriage in order to qualify for conjugal. You can totally apply but it will be a big waste of time. If you plan on getting married in the future anyway, then just have a small civil ceremony before applying and plan for a big celebration in the...

I know for importing cars there is a process, there's a page for it that I saw somewhere...I don't remember off the top of my head but it was easy to find on google and it had a search function for your make/model of car so you can see what importing it will be like. The car I had in California...

It's my understanding that people who get rejected usually have a lot of notice ahead of time. So if you haven't heard otherwise, you're probably good!

Oh great! Next week looks realistic for me then. Yay! Also, I know you have to declare your items but like... all of my stuff is already in Canada as I bought it when I was living here as a student and on my PGWP. Am I going to have to declare that stuff? I honestly can't remember what I...

Yes I am technically an October applicant since they had to re-file my application in October... but I've acally been waiting since June! I am waiting on COPR So I'd say that's progress! I did receive that email a week or two before I got DM. I hadn't paid yet though so I can't say for sure...

Never mind... I figured it out, hah! I had to change my application from inland to outland back in October and they gave me a new application number... and of course I was wrongly entering the old one. Whoops! Still waiting on that COPR though... was signed by B Borgeat on 2/24/17 hoping to...

Is anyone else having trouble with ecas?? I can log in to mycic but when I try to check my application status through ecas I am getting this error message: Is the site just having issues or does this mean something is going on with my application?

I believe it just needs to have been done no sooner than 6 months before they received your application. But it may depend on your VO and country of citizenship? I could be wrong, of course.
