In my experience, having to obtain the CSQ didn't slow down the overall timeline. My application reached DM right around the same time as everyone else in the same VO. You can find other threads that talk about this as well. Here's one...

Just wanted to update Quebec applicants that the overall waiting time wasn't much different compared to a non-Quebec applicant even though there is an extra step to obtain the CSQ. This is just my experience through the Ottawa VO.

ScaMD, I just found the email in my spam which was sent last night. It was sent to me, not to the sponsor. We were monitoring my husband's (sponsor) email address since all correspondence has gone to him. Check yours and your sponsors spam! I did a search in my spam and that's how I found it...

I have Decision Made as well in ecas! I haven't checked in a few days so I'm not sure when it happened. :D FYI MyCIC still says background check in progress.
