    S1 is Study Only Visa. SW1 is Study And Work Visa ( Usually Given to Those students who are Going for a Co-Op Program which requires Credits Of Work at Some Place ) You should be getting one letter, which works both for SP and WP.

    Yes, they issue you study permit at the port of entry, look at your passport it should be SW1 type if it's COOP program, they will issue you the permit accordingly it's all systematic :-*

    Hmm seems like a misrepresentation which usually bans you for 5 years of entry, so they might just follow the protocol and deny you visa once again.
