    Taxes

Really??? That great! You have been most helpful. I think I will still call Revenue Canada or have my Dad call since I'm abroad right now. Just to get this 100% but I will contact her bank here to start looking into how to get my wife's money to Canada the easiest way.

This is great and is very helpful but I am more curious about cash. Is there and what are the tax laws on taking cash into Canada when you are a new immigrant?

I didn't use it when I sponsored my wife and she is Chinese. Not only that but she has received her PR status but we haven't left China yet. Our relationship is real and we proved it by living together for almost 2 yrs, dating for 3 yrs and being married for just over a yr. We send screen shots...

I wasn't born there. I moved there when I was 17 and lived there for 10 yrs before coming to China. To Canadayogini, Yes they did ask for my wife's passport but I thought the process was Sponsorship approved, AOR, interview (if necessary), approved, PPR, Landed. So I thought nothing of it when they asked for her passport with the AOR.
