Today exactly 4 weeks (28 days) after medicals expired, they extend them.

Thank you, My profile has passed everything but medicals expired July 29. So your info helps me a lot. The thing is I do not have 2 months to wait bc my wp expires this 31st! They extend 80 days automatically but my wife and daughter need work and school too. Can not complain more!!!

The 5th time for me today! It is busy Monday. But, I got no choice! The maximum I had to call is 9 times!!! So, just keep trying until you get to talk to them. You got to do what you have to do!

Try 5 - 10 times! That's right! That is what it takes to get to talk to one of them. Spend good 30 - 45 minutes on the phone to call them back to back until you are in line to wait.

Just got off the phone with ircc agent! Background check has been passed on Aug 11. There is only thing left is medicals are expired in July that need to be approved to extend. Fingers crossed.

Oh man, goodness, congrats to you. So, 7 months and 3 weeks for you, just around 7.5 months like I said in your case. Go celebrate, man. The email means approval!
