The pr portal email came soon after the officer finally approved the application. So close to the date I mentioned.

You can just apply for Bowp. No need to apply for visitor visa. It's based on your pending PR application. So you need to upload your Application AOR file while applying to prove that you have an appication in process that has passed the r10.

My knowledge isn't wrong. Bowp is possible only for those who have applied for permanent residence and have their application completed the R10 step. And not possible for people living in Quebec. The post I replied had no reference to such a scenario.

Based on my knowledge, its not possible to apply for an open work permit while on closed work permit.

I submitted my application from Montreal on March 7, 2020 and got the BIL on March 13, 2020. But the lock down happened on same day. My eligibility got cleared in August 2020 but the final approval came on April 23, 2021. I think only covid messed up it and had to wait longer than usual.

I didn't wait to get an LOE but submitted a letter along with my application with proof and intention to move to Ontario based on my past studies. And when I moved, I sent my lease as proof and changed the address to ON one. Then the eligibility got cleared in a few days.

Hi, in my knowledge if you don't stay in Quebec but in Ontario, it's fine for normal ones. But in your case, you are on a closed work permit. You may have to find another job in Ontario or initiate such strong ties to prove that you are intending to stay out of Quebec.

You can. I applied for pr while in Montreal and moved to Ontario working for same employer. Even sent the quebec paystubs for bowp and got it approved. As long as you live in Ontario, it doesn't matter.

Since u applied already, did u order gcms notes to see the status of your application. It'd have been wiser to add all the proof about moving to Ontario with the initial application itself.

Hey Guys, I'm March 7, 2020, AOR. My medical was expired on March 10, 2021. I got a ghost update today when I checked the profile. Nothing is showing up still. Anyone can enlighten what it's about based on the pattern perhaps?

I cant understand the pattern man. They are making us wait until medical expiry and the slow pace of giving extension or remedical. But for late applicants, it's direct processing in a few months after submissions. Simply double standard its.

Yea March 7 AOR here and no frigging update. These people are just pathetic lol. Ignoring us and approving late applicants (no hate for those late applicants who got approved though) just my frustration coming out.

Did you check Gcms? If it's still showing not provided then most likely your fingerprints were not clear while submitting bio.
