I was told by the immigration officer who attended to me that I can only travel the US and be able to re-enter Canada, but if I go out to other countries before my pr card is ready I won't be able to enter Canada with my landing documents.

DHL Accra you just need to give them a copy of your email for pick up, and within an hour they will be at AVO to it pick up.
