    understanding GCMS notes

Other Checks…. there is one in my notes called "Non-respect" i think it relates to the security section… but it's hard to decipher with the blanked out parts. Agent notes refer to "Other checks"… but don't give more specifics. Under eligibility it is listed under medical, criminal, organized...

GCMS Notes Security check interpretation "Non-respect"

I recently got my GCMS notes….. Security has been done and the blanked out spaces in the notes really make it hard to figure out when happened… There was a check done aside from Medical, Criminal and Security… although I think it came under security…. It was labelled "Non-respect". It was first...

    French-Speakers Forum? / Forum francophone?

Haha. I think it's important francophones can communicate when they need to… but making a random thread wouldn't make sense really. the idea is that when we have a topic we need help with that the help is there in French for us. if you have a topic though… go for it.

    COPR Errors & Corrections

Kind of odd they want to know every detail about us… yet when they finish their process…. they weren't able to get the first entry into the country right… But very good. I might still ask the border man to fix it anyway. Just in case.

Incorrect Original entry date on COPR: Please advise urgently

My original entry date is reading March 2013…. but I originally entered in August 2011…. I got a new passport in December 2015… go figure that one out! I'm checking through all my entry and exit dates to see if I flew in during March 2013…. Do I take it to the border like that… or ask IRCC to...

    COPR Errors & Corrections

Alas my COPR has a small error… I think… The original entry date listed is wrong. Is this something I need to have modified on the document before going to the border, or can I get away with simply mentioning it there? Has anyone experienced this? It is a minor detail really. But down the...

    French-Speakers Forum? / Forum francophone?

Receiving Permanent Residence after a decision made on application

That's interesting…. I received my documents today… that means it took just two days (and around Christmas!). I haven't received any emails in myCIC account. Although there were a list of printed instructions with the COPRs.

Does the passport (Xpresspost) return at the front door or in the mailbox?

I have to correct what I said I am afraid. I went to the post office today, they won't ask you to sign when your passport is returned… but it will have a tracking number… so when you receive it the postman will have to scan to confirm you have it in your hands. On their side, they will sign...

    CPCO Final Request and COPR

Took two days, arrived this afternoon!

Does the passport (Xpresspost) return at the front door or in the mailbox?

I wouldn't worry about that. Immigration will make sure somebody signs at their end and when they return your documents, you will also have to sign for the envelope. If you aren't home they will leave you a docket with the tracking number and you will have to go to the post office to retrieve it...

Receiving Permanent Residence after a decision made on application

Ah I see. I haven't received any emails at all and it's been a few days. Would I be right to assume I won't receive the emails until the person doing my application is mailing the COPR Letter?

    Some opinions on my situation

I kind of did a similar thing back in 2011. Maybe it will give you food for thought: My work permit was ending, I couldn't change employer without an LMIA which was just impossible to get for me. And even then my job was regulated and the regulator wanted more university credits to give me my...

Does the passport (Xpresspost) return at the front door or in the mailbox?

I did not request a signature with mine… but funnily I got one when it arrived! So f you mailed it to them Xpresspost like me… somebody should sign even if you didn't ask for it.

    French-Speakers Forum? / Forum francophone?

Receiving Permanent Residence after a decision made on application

Time will tell I suppose. Am I also supposed to receive an email message to my account with instructions? It mentioned that online.

Lack of COPR Letter to hand and re-entry

Ugh, likely to not arrive before I leave then, maybe not even till I am back given the Christmas holidays mean less days to mail things. If I explain at the border on my return, do you think they will allow me re-enter on my work permit, given I won't have yet received the COPR Letter?
