Hey everyone! My husband's passport was returned on Wednesday! It didn't take very long at all! We're so excited that everything has worked out! I hope everyone still waiting gets good news soon!

We logged into MyCic today and can see that the application was approved and there is a new little section about the document they put in the passport. So we're thinking they've put the passport in the mail to come back to us! Can't wait till it arrives! :D

Thanks! We're landing late July. We had already bought our tickets as we were going to go on an eta, but them we got the PPR! I believe the deadline is usually based on the expiration of your medicals or passport (whichever comes first). :)

WE GOT DECISION MADE ON ECAS TODAY!!! It's funny cause it says 'decision made' under permanent residence application, but still says 'in process' under sponsorship! Probably because I (the sponsor) am still in Brazil.

You don't have to prove you have an application in process. The immigration officers at the airport should be able to see it in their system. You do still have to have a visa to enter though. But now it's easier for Brazilians because eta is an option. You need a valid US visa or to have had a...

I recommend you try to get the visitor visa to marry in Canada. Don't lie about her being a friend! Don't lie about anything! If you can't get the visa to get married there then she can come to Brazil and you can get married here. You can always have another wedding in Canada when you're both...
