In my case yes they asked to show original ielts or transcript copy. They asked every single person to show all the original documents you send including the original proof of language.

The Decision was made today (Jan 23rd) on eCAS only on the front page "no new line was added :(". waiting for the oath ceremony which will take from 2 to 4 months as the officer said that Kitchener office doesn't have judge and the queue is very long.

I got the FP, did it and RCMP sent it to the cic office but nothing was updated on my ecas, only the 3 lines (received, AOR and in process) is this normal. I tried to call them on friday to make sure that my finger print was received but they were busy the whole day.
