Sadly my tracker didn't get activated today. Back to the waiting game. Either Canada Post did not scan it or it wasn't sent out. I will call them back tomorrow.

Call the CIC number, and speak to an agent. They might be able to help. I called them this morning and they said we should get our passport back within 2 weeks after receiving.

Did you not include an xpresspost envelope with your passport?

From my past experience, it usually takes them 4-5 days after receiving the passport to issue the visa, then another 3 days for canadapost to deliver the passport back.

My TRV application from inside Canada so far: Applied: May 2nd Passport request: May 3rd Passport delivered to CIC: May 6th I have an upcoming flight on the 23rd, too. Hope I will get my passport back before then.

Same here. I sent in my passport using Purolator on June 29th. However, when I did so, the CIC page wasn't updated with new information about using private courier prepaid envelope so I included an Xpresspost envelope. Now my application has been approved. I have sent them an email asking if I...

It seems they have approved my application. However, the status is still Open when I click on it. It's sooooo confusing. >:( >:( >:(

Submitted: May 11st, 2016 Status: Open :-[ :-[ CIC webpage is showing they are working on application received on May 19th, but last week it showed May 7th. Probably they are still working on it. I used the web form to contact them tho.
