Just got back from border. I'm officially Permanent Resident. Landing proces was straight forward, took only 10 minutes, few signatures and I was back on my way to Canada. It was great feeling. Hope that rest of us will be over with it soon.

Yes you should get tracker activated today/tomorrow. CIC received my copies on Dec 28th, MyCIC account switched to approved and closed Jan 7th, return tracker activated Jan 9th.

Looks like they are done for today as it's past 5 pm NS time Let's hope that they will mail everything tomorrow morning, and our trackers get activated. 2 days later we will be able to complete our landing. Our patience is being tested :) but few months from now we will be laughing at it :)

Do not stress yourself. Was your aplication closed and approved in cic? If yes then you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Just wait few more days like rest of us and we should see our documents back shortly. It's just a matter of days now- which is nothing comparing to tens of months...

You can apply for restoration of status as visitor, it costs $150 I believe but at least buys you time untill you get your passport back. That way you will be able to stay in country on implied status.

Update on CIC just now Saturday 6:37pm PS Time . Application has been approved and closed :) Now just waiting for activation of return tracker.

That's great news for you. Can you please let us know when did CIC receive your passport. That way we can guesstimate when ours will get processed. They have received mine on Dec 28th.

I'm wondering if there are differences in processing times when it comes to applicants sending passports vs copies of passport (visa exempt countries) Hope that all August applicants got their PPR.

You do not need to bring photos when landing at border. If you have not received PPR email yet - you will need to submit them then.
